I Am Hope and Gumboot Friday, Mike King's mental health charity, continues to provide free counselling and support for young people 25 years and under around NZ when they need it most.

Gumboot Friday is on a crusade to change the lives of our young people and we need your help to do so! It is costing over $500,000 a month to provide this free service.

The I Am Hope Foundation covers the administration of the counselling sessions provided through Gumboot Friday. We also provide our in school programmes through I Am Hope and other community initiatives as well as supporting inspiring young people in their mahi.

I Am Hope recently had a report done by ImpactLab, an independent charity review who took our data and information and produced a full report on the impact we make in the community. The most exciting part of this report was our social return on investment, for every dollar invested into I Am Hope we produce $5.70 of social good. This is a massive return on investment. The total amount of social value we create each year is well over $16,000,000!

Over the past 10 years, we have spoken to and listened to over 300,000 kids in schools from the top to the bottom of New Zealand.

We have created books for our youngest kids and enabled free counselling for well over 10,000 young people.

Changing the future of New Zealand is a community effort, we can not do it on our own and rely on the support of amazing people like you to support us.
